I was recently watching an Amazon Prime documentary about the German national football team during the last World Cup, and a few things really resonated with me from their coach, Hansi Flick.
Inclusive Coaching: Hansi’s approach to coaching is incredibly inclusive. He doesn’t believe in dictating, but rather discussing and ensuring everyone is fully invested in the team’s vision. This really highlights the power of collaboration and buy-in!
Individualized Attention: He also dedicates significant time to speaking with each player, understanding their thoughts on tactics, progress, and more. This personalized approach allows him to identify and address each player’s specific needs. It’s a fantastic example of leading with empathy and understanding!
These points really struck me as examples of excellent leadership, and I wanted to share them with you all. Hansi Flick, with his impressive track record at Bayern Munich, the German national team, and now FC Barcelona, truly embodies these principles.
